Alleviating the Bauxite Maritime Supply Chain Risks through Resilient Strategies: QFD-MCDM with Intuitionistic Fuzzy Decision Approach

With the development of global economy and energy supply chain, uncertainty complexity bauxite maritime chain (BMSC) has been further increased. Determining crucial risks improving chain’s resilient capacity based on operation objectives become important, in order to ensure sustainability competitiveness BMSC. This paper combines quality function deployment (QFD), a multi-criteria decision method (MCDM), intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS); an integrated methodology is developed achieve efficient design BMSC strategies (RESs), taking into account both customer requirements (CRs) risk factors (RFs). A combined weighting employed determine each CR’s importance. decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) adopted RFs’ interrelationships. The results obtained with MCDM are incorporated QFD construct two-stage house (HoQ) model, which transforms CRs RFs, then RESs. real case Guinea–China import studied demonstrate applicability validity proposed framework. Research reveal that most important CR ‘stability’. ‘Information sharing asymmetry’, ‘poor ship stability or obsolete equipment performance’, ‘lack coordination between shipping ports’ severe impacting chain. Furthermore, ‘constructing strategic alliances’ contributes alleviating potential risks, optimizing allocation resources, finally, resilience significantly. will help managers understand how sustainable through strategies, aid rational management for risk.
